10 Instagram Accounts to Follow if You are Tired of the Bull****

I don’t know about you, but I am sick of seeing people posting such fake lives on their Instagram. So many ads in posts for detox teas, new tech, or health supplements that aren’t actually good for your health or wellbeing are bombarding our feeds. There are two ways I have found that fix how my Instagram feed makes me feel. That feels weird typing but welcome to 2017. What you see on Instagram or Facebook can change how you feel. On Facebook we know to unfriend or block those that are hateful, and bigoted, we also need to unfollow people who make us feel bad on Instagram. Young girls are seeing these posed pictures thinking they are real, and as we grow up we think we know better but sometimes it still gets to us.

After unfollowing accounts, be it friends or those Instagram famous models, the next step is to follow accounts that feature things that make you happy. For me that means a whole lot of yoga accounts, there are a few photography ones, and some celebrities who keep it real online. And of course delicious vegan food. Here are some of the accounts, in no particular order, I follow right now that motivate me instead of get me down.

I started following Candace because of how she talks about balance. She went through a debilitating illness and that motivated her to live her healthiest life.

I have a thing for tattoos, and Kat Von D is a household name for being tattoo artist. She is an artist of many mediums and I love having that in my feed. Not to mention, she is also vegan and is against animal cruelty which translates into her cruelty-free and vegan makeup line.

I don’t like follow “traditional” TV celebrities but Chrissy Teigen is a hilarious woman who keeps it real online. She posts a lot about her family and it always puts me in a good mood seeing her chubby-cheeked baby.

This chick is awesome. Her handstand work is #goals and I personally bought her Abasanas Ebook. I don’t use it nearly as often as I should but even with how little I use it, I have noticed a difference in my core strength. Plus her two Bengal kittens are ridiculously entertaining.

Letting go of the fuck boys like 👋🏼🤣No really though… Ok- I’m going to pull a @jadealectra real quick and get super vulnerable… as much as I’ve shared with you guys- I’ve never touched this topic. It makes me cringe. The last few months I’ve met some real winners and it had me thinking “I’ve had such bad luck the last few months” but the truth is- I’ve never dated anyone worth my time- I guess that’s why they are all ex’s. I also have this suspicion that the more you settle (in love and life in general) the more the universe makes sure you’re reeeally aware of it. And if I’m honest with myself- I’ve settled for less than the man I want and deserve- Every. Single. Time… More so lately than ever. So. Here’s to silence over noise. Here’s to never settling. 🔥🤙🏼👏🏼 #beagoddess #byebitch

Aubry was the first instagram yogi I found that was so blunt and real with her followers. After realizing that they aren’t all sunshine and rainbows, I sought out more like her and unfollowed the ones I felt were too staged. She has posted Instagram stories on the toilet, so if that is TMI for you, maybe pass.

The outdoors is my happy place, so this page really inspires me to go on more adventures.

Helen is one of my favorite Youtubers, she is goofy and sweet which make her vlogs so great to watch. Her style is amazing so I love seeing her photos in my feed.

I started becoming obsessed with Kathryn after reading her book Aim True. Now I listen to her podcast Free Cookies with her partner Kate Fagan and I also take her classes on yogaglo.com.

Karissa is another Youtuber, but I have been watching her for 2 years now. She is mostly plant-based, but always eats intuitively after having a lot of digestive problems. Again, this girl keeps it real on Youtube and Instagram, and her makeup is always flawless.

This is a great account if you enjoying looking at perfectly plated and delicious vegan foods. Once it gets warm again in Norcal I will be making so many smoothie bowls!

When following any “Instagram Celebrity” there will be sponsored posts. I’ve noticed that the products they support actually are helpful and aren’t fads when the people you follow are caring and transparent. If you think a post is sponsored, check what is tagged. The company will always be tagged if the person is being paid for the post.

Don’t follow an Instagram account if it is affecting your own happiness, an app doesn’t deserve that kind of power.
